Sony Interactive Entertainment is currently facing a discrimination class action lawsuit from an ex-IT security analyst. Axios reports Emma Majo, the claimant, claims that the entertainment giant wrongfully terminated the employment of her after she raised concerns about the discrimination she and other employees faced at the company. 252a38

This news comes amid harassment and discrimination lawsuits against Activision Blizzard and less than one week after Sony CEO Jim Ryan criticized ActiBlizz CEO Bobby Kotick for his response to those claims.

Majo claimed that Sony paid men more, despite them doing the same job and denied women promotion opportunities. Majo also claims other discriminatory behaviour and speech.

Majo was fired by Sony earlier in 2021 after Majo submitted a signed statement detailing instances of discrimination in her workplace. Sony claims Majo was fired because she submitted a signed statement detailing instances of discrimination in the workplace. Majo disagrees.

Majo filed her complaint to the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing. This is the same entity that sued Activision Blizzard first in July. It made it a lawsuit as a class action suit, so any other women who suffered discrimination at Sony could come forward and add their names.
